Sorobon Beach Resort is a complex of 30 cottages located on Bonaire’s finest beach, fronting the shallow, crystalline waters of Lac Bay. Under new ownership and management and recently updated, Sorobon welcomes friends, families and visitors to this once private enclave.

- Rooms: Sorobon Beach Resort offers 28 one-bedroom cottages, 1 two-bedroom cottage and the Cas Grandi three-bedroom house. All units have a view of the bay with the beach less than 150 feet away. Cottages are simple but roomy (516 square feet of living space for a one bedroom) and have been recently updated. All have AC, queen size beds, sofa sleepers, some with full kitchens, bathroom with shower, living room and furnished porches. Two signature cottages have been totally redesigned featuring modern décor and furnishings.
- Diving: Guests enjoy Wannadive Bonaire’s onsite facility, including rental equipment, pick up and drop off of tanks for shore diving, lockers and rinse basins. Guided shore and boat trips are available just beyond the reef at Lac Bay. You’re only 4 miles away from their Windsock location and 10 miles away from their Eden Beach dock (with daily Klein Bonaire boat dives), both on the west coast. East Coast Divers depart just up the road from Sorobon, offering daily boat dives to the wild East Coast sites.
- Dining: The Sugar Bird restaurant and bar is open daily for buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner with a variety of international offerings featuring Caribbean and Oriental influences. Meal plans are available. Sorobon is less than 15 minutes drive to groceries and dining in Kralendijk.
- Amenities: Sorobon Beach Resort rewards guests with the island’s best beach along with shade cabanas, lounge chairs and beach towels for your private use. Kayaks are available to explore the shallow bay and mangroves. The resort provides a small library, table tennis, free wireless internet and a service desk for car, bike and scooter rental as well as bookings for outdoor activities and guided tours. Bonaire’s two windsurf centers are right next door and some of the best snorkeling on the island is directly in front on Lac Bay’s protecting reef.
