Bilogist Jerry Ligon Video Interview

January 14, 2010

Here are 2 of Bonaire finest professionals collaborating. Jerry Ligon is one of Bonaire’s leading biologists and is pretty much “The World’s Most Interesting Man” on the island. He is the resident naturalist and guide at Bonaire Dive & Adventure. Michael LaFortune is an extremely talented videographer and producer who also works at Fish-Eye Photo as an instructor and video expert. Check out Michael’s video of Jerry’s explanation of the parrot fish and his role on the reef. Really great stuff. Stay thirsty, my friends.

Love the video. Really well done. I just wish I could have heard the parrot fish crunching in the coral… it’s one of my favorite sounds down under!

Thanks for the mini-vacation and education!

Cheers!

I loved the parrot fish video. Heavy sigh, it will be so hard to wait until our upcoming trip to Bonaire (April, 2010). It’s awfully cold and wintery up her in Iowa right now, and we are SO LOOKING FORWARD to visiting Bonaire again! Thanks for the video, it made my day.

Hi Mary — thanks for the comments. I saw Jerry and Michael this week and begged both of them to keep doing these videos.

Hi Carolyn — is that the sound of your teeth gnashing wishing to be on Bonaire?
