and Equipment
A full range of instruction is offered on Bonaire, from complete
certification for entry-level divers to professional courses. Most
certifying agencies are represented, including PADI, NAUI, SSI,
CMAS, IDD and others. For those who come to Bonaire to be certified,
many choose the option of doing most of their classroom and pool
work at home and complete their open water portion in the warm and
relatively calm waters of Bonaire. Any of Bonaire's dive operations
will be happy to advise you on their program and that of your certifying
agency's referral policy.
Most Bonaire dive operations have a complete selection of rental
gear for divers and snorkelers as well as equipment for purchase.
Camera rental, sales and service as well as film processing are
offered by established underwater photo and video shops in conjunction
with the dive operation's other services.

Options
Bonaire dive operations typically offer daily morning and afternoon
boat dives, with night dives scheduled once or twice a week. With
many of the dive sites within a 15-20 minute boat ride coupled with
the fact that shore diving is so easily accessible and popular,
boat diving on Bonaire is among the least expensive in the
Caribbean. Most boat trips are one-tank, although some dive operators
offer a two-tank morning boat trip. Guided snorkeling and guided
shore dive tours can be arranged at many of the dive shops.
Unlimited use of tanks with unlimited air fills is a part of most
multi-day dive packages and this "unlimited shore diving"
aspect to a Bonaire dive vacation is what sets Bonaire apart in
the dive travel world. Most shops make tanks available for shore
diving 24 hours a day with easy drive up access. Nitrox fills are
available, as is instruction and certification.
