Don Stewart started it all 30 years ago. No wonder they
have the dive resort thing figured out. Our friend Jack
Chalk, manager of
Don’s Habitat, just called.
He said you should know about their Specials for the
rest of 2006, along with all the upgrades being done
on their Deluxe Ocean View rooms. We told him he should
fly us down there tomorrow. We’re still waiting,
but here are the Specials.

Everyone talks about the BelMar
deluxe accommodations; their oceanfront balconies and patios;
the caring and attentive staff. Bonaire vacation perfection?
Well, now that the expanded

pretty much. Guests have a more spacious yet still cozy spot
to gather for dive courses, check email on the resort’s
wireless connection and have a cup of tea or coffee. They stock
a nice assortment of gear and clothing (plenty of tanks for
shore diving, too) and the office staff is next door to help
you with any of your vacation needs.
features their Stay 7 and Pay for 6 special, giving you one
night FREE on a week long vacation. FYI - this place fills up fast. Check out our BelMar info here.

Bonaire Culinary Team
The locals know it. The regular Bonaire
visitors know it. We’re drooling just writing this.
Bonaire’s chefs and bartenders, along
with the variety of restaurants and cuisines offered on
the island, are simply amazing. The creativeness and distinct
quality of the Bonaire dining scene is evidenced by their
recent success at the “Taste of the
held in Miami last month. The Bonaire
Culinary Team brought
home a Bronze medal for their three-course meal. And Jane
Marie Coffie of the Divi Flamingo garnered the Overall
Gold Medal in the bartender competition for her three drinks.
You’ll see Bonaire Dining as a regular feature in
future newsletters. And we’re contemplating which
one we’ll order from Jane Marie first – the “Divi
Melon Coconut Cocktail”, “Callabas
the “Caribbean Breeze”!
