Bonaire Heineken Jazz Festival 2006

Bonaire will be the center for Latin and Caribbean Jazz from May 25-28, 2006 during the inaugural Bonaire Heineken Jazz Festival. The festival, sponsored by the Bonaire Jazz Foundation, will consist of 4 main venues at Plaza Resort, City Café, Bongos Beach Bar and Kontiki Beach Club. Concerts and events will be held Friday through Sunday with Sunset Jazz Time, Main Evening Concerts and late night Jazz and Jam sessions in local restaurants, bars and public venues throughout the island. Bonaire National Marine Park Tags

Reminder: All people using the waters around Bonaire must pay the BNMP access fee - $25 per year or $10 per day for scuba divers; $10 per year or $2 per day for all others using Bonaire waters. Tags, which also provide entrance to Washington-Slagbaai National Park for the year they are valid, are available at locations throughout the island. The BNMP has also launched a re-forestation of Klein Bonaire project, with the objective to have fruit plants that are native to Bonaire replanted on the island. Volunteers are needed for this project (email info@stinapa.org).
